I Priyadarsini Das, a maker of eco-friendly jewellery made of bamboo, launched the project “Ecodarsini.” I have created entirely one-of-a-kind jewellery utilising materials like bamboo, terracotta, handloom fabric, glass beads, stone beads, and hardwood beads made from neem, tulsi, bael, and karanj.

The project has gone above and beyond the norm and demonstrates a fresh approach to creating stylish costume jewellery with a focus on environmentally safe materials. My goal is to provide rural and tribal women with skills to provide for their livelihoods through employment.

I have so far trained numerous young women and girls who either market their goods online or through stores established by ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society). A few hundred rupees of tiny investment are yielding thousands of rupees in profit.
